Who we are
Dawamy is a personal work-attendance and labour-rights app for employees in Kuwait, operated by Mohammad Al-Damkhi ("we", "us"). Mohammad Al-Damkhi is the data controller for the personal data processed through Dawamy. You create your own account and the data you enter belongs to you.
What we collect
Your email address, and only the work data you type in: shift times, fingerprint/check-in times, late minutes, sick and annual leave records, employer name, sector, salary and pay settings, optional service history, and an optional work location (latitude/longitude) if you enable geofencing.
Why we collect it
To calculate your late allowance, deductions, leave balances, end-of-service and pension estimates, and to send you reminders you switch on. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Legal basis
We process your account and work data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), security and usage data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and working, optional features such as location and reminders on the basis of your consent (which you can withdraw in Settings), and records where required by law.
Who we share data with
Service providers that host and run Dawamy (cloud hosting, database, email delivery and AI document extraction); our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, which processes the sale of Pro subscriptions, payments, tax compliance, invoicing and subscription management; professional advisers (legal, accounting) when needed; and authorities where required by law. We never sell your data.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is deleted immediately; anything no longer needed is deleted or anonymised. Payment records held by Paddle are retained by Paddle as required by tax law.
Cookies
We use only essential browser storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your language and preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Documents you upload
If you use document import, the file (e.g. a PIFSS or salary certificate) is sent to an AI provider only to extract the fields shown to you for review. The file is not stored on our servers after extraction.
Location
Location is read on your device only when you enable geofenced check-in. It is used to compare your position with your saved work location. Location is never shared with third parties.
Notifications
Reminders are generated on your device. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.
Storage and security
Data is stored in a managed cloud database with row-level security, so only your signed-in account can read or write your rows. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
Your rights
You can view, edit or delete any record in the app, and permanently delete your account and all of your data from Settings → Delete account (immediate and irreversible). Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. We respond to requests within one month.
Children
Dawamy is intended for people of working age and is not directed at children under 13.
